WingRadar is available on Android through Google Play.
WingRadio is WingRadar’s ride-wide voice feature. Every active participant, Leader or Rider, can tap ‘TAP TO TALK’, wait one second, and record a short voice message for approximately five seconds. WingRadar stops recording, uploads it, and sends it automatically to the other participants in the active ride.
Only the other participants in the same active Ride ID receive the broadcast and hear it automatically. The sender does not hear their own transmission.
No. WingRadar uses the microphone for WingRadio only when you intentionally start a TAP TO TALK transmission. After the one-second preparation period, the microphone records for approximately five seconds and then stops automatically.
No. WingRadio recordings are temporary operational messages used to deliver the broadcast to your active ride, not permanent voice-message history. Temporary audio normally expires after approximately one hour and is then cleaned up; deletion is not instantaneous.
No. WingRadar currently does not transcribe WingRadio recordings or analyze their spoken content for advertising or profiling.
During an active ride, supported Android and iOS background services can allow WingRadio messages to be received while WingRadar is minimized or the screen is locked. Device, operating-system, network and battery settings can affect background behavior.
On supported devices, WingRadio temporarily takes audio priority so the ride message can be heard, then releases it so other audio can continue.
