RailVector does not require an account. When you request your location, it is used locally for map functionality and is not stored or uploaded by RailVector.
1. Scope
This policy explains how the RailVector application and this website handle information. RailVector provides a live railway map using third-party public transport and mapping data.
2. Information RailVector handles
RailVector does not create personal user accounts and does not connect to a RailVector backend. The current application may process device location only after you request it. Local settings, cache and diagnostics may be stored on your device to operate the application and help you inspect feed behavior.
3. Foreground location
When you tap “Show my location,” RailVector may request precise foreground location to center the map and display a marker labeled “You.” The current application does not continuously track location in the background, does not request background-location permission, and does not store or upload that coordinate through RailVector's implementation. You may deny or revoke permission in device settings.
4. Advertising and Google AdMob
The Android application includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google and its partners may process information such as device or advertising identifiers, IP address, ad interactions and diagnostic information according to Google's policies and applicable consent choices. Internal builds currently use Google test ad identifiers; production advertising configuration and consent behavior may change before release.
5. Analytics and crash diagnostics
RailVector does not currently implement a connected analytics service, Firebase, or user telemetry upload. Read-only diagnostics are local to the application. Platform providers and third-party SDKs may independently process crash, security or service data under their own terms.
6. Railway and map data
Live railway information comes from Fintraffic / Digitraffic. Mapping uses OpenStreetMap-compatible services. Requests to these third-party services may expose standard technical information such as IP address and request metadata to their operators.
7. Retention and deletion
Because RailVector currently has no accounts or backend and does not upload your requested map location, RailVector has no corresponding server-side location or account record to delete. You can clear locally stored app data by using operating-system controls or uninstalling the app. Third parties apply their own retention policies.
8. Security
RailVector uses standard platform and transport protections where supported. No internet transmission or software system can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Children
RailVector is a general rail-information application and is not designed to collect personal information from children. A final intended-age declaration will be aligned with the applicable store listing before public distribution.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or complaint. RailVector does not sell personal information. For requests related to third-party services, you may also need to contact the relevant provider.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when features, laws or third-party services change. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes will be communicated through an appropriate product or website notice.
